"Words cannot express the gratitude for all the loving care you given to out mother. Being so far away from a loved one is difficult, but we always knew she was safe, comfortable, and most of all loved. You are truly one of the most caring, compassionate people we have ever known and we are so blessed to have had our mother in your care. Please keep in touch and know that our door is always open to you. God bless you always."
Kevin and Peggy Whitrock

"Canterbury Home has my full recommendation. The facility is extraordinarily good for the resident's physical and mental well-being."
Larry Marianella

"This is a wonderful place! - My mother said this sentence to me the next day after she moved into the Canterbury Home. Almost immediately, her demeanor changed from anger and suffering to peaceful serenity. It is clear that the Canterbury Home's owner, Elizabeth Timar, and her employees, have not treated my mother like a patient, but rather, like a beloved family member. There is so much love and positive energy in this home that my mother has responded to it very well. I would recommend the Canterbury Home, under the loving care of Elizabeth Timar, to anybody who is seeking a loving environment for a family member or dear friend."

Stories

To Whom it May Concern:

Our mother, Pearl, resided at Canterbury Home for nearly six years.

Elizabeth Timar provided superior care for the entire time our mother was there. Elizabeth provided excellent, nutritious and healthful meals. The meals were carefully planned to meet Pearl’s physician’s recommendations, and Pearl enjoyed the food. It’s not easy to prepare tasty, low-fat, sugar-free meals, and Elizabeth excels at it. But more important than the meals, Elizabeth provides a family atmosphere that made Pearl very comfortable in her home.

Elizabeth treats the residents as family, and she and her assistants provide caring help, which made Pearl feel right at home.

When caring for the elderly, personal care and close attention to residents’ needs are paramount. The small number of residents at Canterbury Home allows Elizabeth and her helpers to give each resident personal attention.

Elizabeth keeps Canterbury Home sparkling clean and does a great job with the laundry. The rooms are kept in excellent condition. We were very fortunate to find Canterbury Home for our mother, and fortunate, indeed, to find such an empathetic, well-trained and caring caregiver in Elizabeth.
